Show more Noongar Radio 100.9fm is managed by Noongar Media Enterprises (NME), a subsidiary company of Peedac Pty Ltd, which is a not-for-profit Aboriginal community based organisation. NME is an organisation which provides Noongar people the opportunity to have their voices heard through radio broadcasts in the Perth metropolitan area. From its very visible studios at 207 Beaufort St in Perth, NME is committed to the broadcast of positive, informed, empowering programming which support and promote the achievements and aspirations of the Noongar community it serves. But this is much more than just another radio station. Indigenous media contributes to the building of self esteem, creating and fostering engagement and capacity building both within and outside of the Noongar community. It promotes reconciliation, which includes the progress towards a more just and equal Australian society.

Radio Adelaide was formerly known as 5UV, denoting its links to the University of Adelaide, the university where the radio station was originally located and started. Whilst Radio Adelaide is technically still owned by the University of Adelaide it is highly autonomous. The station is run by over five hundred volunteer station workers as well as a small amount of paid staff. Because Radio Adelaide is a community radio station, there are many program styles including comedy, music, etc Show more Radio Adelaide is Australia's first community radio station; established by Adelaide University in 1972. Radio Adelaide was formerly known as 5UV, denoting its links to the University of Adelaide, the university where the radio station was originally located and started. The radio station was renamed Radio Adelaide in 2002 to coincide with its transfer from AM to FM band, following the ABA Licence Area Plans for Adelaide finding an available frequency on 101.5 FM. The station is run by over five hundred volunteer station workers as well as a small amount of paid staff. Because Radio Adelaide is a community radio station, there are many program styles including comedy, music, etc. Because of this, Radio Adelaide uses strip programming to ensure some consistency and coherency. Programs on Radio Adelaide are provided by volunteers and also by access groups who pay for on air time. The largest purchaser of access time was "Student Radio" a collection of Radio Programs provided by university students from the University of Adelaide, Flinders University and the University of South Australia. After the introduction of Voluntary Student Unionism the hours which Student Radio broadcasts have been reduced,making the "Roundabout" program the largest purchaser of access time. Radio Adelaide collaborates with community radio stations 2SER Sydney and 4EB Brisbane to contribute content to the national current affairs radio programme The Wire by co-ordinating, resourcing and developing stories. Radio Adelaide is a Registered Training Organisation providing nationally accredited training and in 1999 won Adult Learning Australia's Outstanding Training Provider of the Year Award. Radio Adelaide has audio production facilities available including recording, mastering, duplication, online audio, digital transfer, message on hold, equipment hire and expert technical advice.

Hellenic Radio Perth is the only radio station from Perth, West Australia, Australia providing Greek Community with Entertainment, Culture, Language, Heritage and Music. Show more The Hellenic Radio Service of W.A was created in 1991 by Andreas Tzavellas. He is the owner, manager, producer, co-ordinator and announcer. After 13 years of producing and announcing various Greek programmes on 6NR and 6EBA, Andreas’ dream of linking the Greek Community in W.A was realised. The radio station broadcasts on VHF 151.950 MHZ covering the metropolitan area, approximately 100 kilometres. Hellenic Radio Service links via satellite with The Greek Radio Network and top FM radio stations from Greece, as well as internet radio’s outside of Greece. It includes local content, talk back programmes, requests, soccer matches and Greek music. It is the only Greek station in Perth broadcasting 24 hours a day, entertaining people and promoting the culture, language and heritage. In 2002 for his contribution to the Greek community in WA Andreas Tzavellas received top award from the Greek Press and Mass Media.
